    Arenal d'en Castell beach is a cala in the north of Menorca and belongs to the municipality of Es Mercadal.

    Arenal d'en Castell is a shell-shaped beach more than half a kilometre long and 20 metres wide with very calm waters. It is like a huge natural swimming pool, ideal for a day at the beach with children. Despite being urban, it is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, very easy to access and with a wide variety of services around.

    When contracting Pay in easy instalments rate, you will pay an initial NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 5% of the total amount at the time of booking. 
    The rest of the amount is refundable and will be paid in 2 or 3 payments, the last one being always at the hotel*. If any of the charges cannot be made, the hotel may cancel the reservation within 48 hours of notifying the client of the regularisation of their payments.

    If you choose our Payment at hotel, you need to know that we are going to ask you for a bank card number. You have up to 5 days before your arrival to cancel or modify your booking at a cost of 0€. If you cancel your booking after this period, 100% will be charged.
    No-show will be charged 100% of the reservation.In the event of an unscheduled departure or early check-out, the amount of the stay will not be refunded.

    What is Ecotasa and what amount should I pay?

    The Ecotasa or Tourist Balearic Tax is a tax that has been determined by the Balearic Parliament and which taxes stays in any tourist establishment in the Balearic Islands as of July 1, 2016: Law 2/2016, of March 30, of the tax on tourist stays in the Balearic Islands.

    It amounts to an amount of € 3.00 plus 10% of I.V.A. for each person and day of stay in a 3* star superior hotel. The applicable rate varies according to the category of the establishment.

    The following stays are exempt from this tax:

    a) Children under 16.

    b) Stays made for reasons of force majeure.

    c) Stays made by anyone for health reasons.

    d) Stays subsidized by social programs of the public administrations of any state of the European Union.

    Applies a 50% discount on the tax quota for the ninth and following days of the same stay.

    A 75% bonus applies for low season stays, defined in the Law as the period from 1 November to 30 April of the following year (Amendment of Section 2 of Article 13 Law 2/2016).
