SWIMMING POOL REGULATIONS

Dear customer:

"In order to create and maintain a pleasant and safe environment in the swimming pools, we ask you to read these swimming pool regulations before using the swimming pool areas and services, and we also ask you to follow the instructions and cooperate with the lifeguards and other employees of the aquatic facility, as they are all looking out for your well-being."

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • The paddling pools are for the use of children under 12 years of age, who must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Adults and adolescents must not use the paddling pools except those accompanying children who cannot look after themselves.
  • The main pools can be used by children from 4 to 12 years of age under the permanent supervision of an adult. For safety and hygiene reasons, children under 4 years of age are not allowed to use them.
  • The bubble pool is for the exclusive use of adults over 18 years of age.
  • The water slides are for children over 6 years of age who are over 110 cm tall and can swim. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult.
  • If the lifeguards or any member of staff repeatedly warns a user for not complying with these regulations, they may be forbidden access to the facilities.
  • The Management reserves the right to use any area of the facility at any time for activities.
  • The Management reserves the right to modify the timetables and even close the swimming pools at any time in order to solve any problem associated with the facilities (cleaning, maintenance, repairs, etc...) for the benefit of all users.
  • The Management cannot be held responsible for any accident caused by the negligence of users.

IT IS COMPULSORY

  • The use of aquatic nappies for those children who still need them. In the event of a "faecal accident" the client responsible for closing the pool must pay 300€ for the costs of hyperchlorination, treatment and cleaning of the pool.
  • Wear bathing shoes in the showers and wet areas to reduce the possibility of falls.
  • Shower before entering the pools to remove all types of debris such as sand, creams, oils and similar that affect the hygiene and clarity of the water.
  • Leave the pool in the event of storms due to the electrical risk.

IT IS PROHIBITED

  • Eating and drinking inside the pools.
  • Access to any person affected by contagious diseases or if they have been ill during the last 48 hours.
  • Throwing objects or people into the pool.
  • Diving into the water or performing acrobatics of any kind.
  • Entering the pools with symptoms of drunkenness.
  • Carrying out acts that disturb or endanger other users (running, diving violently, using equipment at an annoying volume, littering, etc.) and that hinder or prevent the development of activities, cause material damage to the facilities or affect general hygiene.
  • Bringing glass objects (glasses, flasks, mirrors, bottles, etc.) into the entire area.
  • The use of inflatables in general (mattresses, boats, wheels, balloons, balls and similar) as they hinder surveillance tasks. Elements used in supervised and supervised activities are excluded. The use of swimming boards and flotation devices is permitted under direct adult supervision.
  • Children's flotation devices are toys, not safety devices, and may only be used in areas where the child is standing and under the direct supervision of an adult.
  • Leaving objects on the deckchairs for the purpose of reserving them as they prevent the technicians from carrying out cleaning and maintenance work. Any object found outside pool hours will be removed without prior warning.
  • Bringing in underwater swimming apparatus such as diving masks, flippers or objects that are blunt or that may disturb other users.
  • The use of prescription glasses or sunglasses in the water. Specific swimming goggles are permitted.
  • Taking photographs or videos of other users without their express consent (Organic Law on Data Protection).
  • Placing sunshades, sun loungers, deckchairs, chairs, mattresses or inflatable pools, etc... on the grassy areas except those expressly designated for their use.
  • Use of the swimming pool outside the timetable indicated for each pool or when it is closed for any reason.

RECOMMENDATIONS AGAINST SOLAR RADIATION

  • Avoid exposure to the sun in the central hours of the day (12:00 to 17:00) as well as prolonged exposure or naps.
  • Reduce the parts of the body exposed directly to the sun. Lightweight clothing, tightly knitted shirts and long trousers will block most of the sun's radiation. Light-coloured cotton shirts are most comfortable in hot climates. Head coverings such as hats or caps are recommended.
  • The sun can also damage the eyes, so it is advisable to wear approved sunglasses that filter out at least 90% of ultraviolet radiation.
  • Use sun protection products with a high sun protection factor appropriate for your age, skin type and area of the body. These sunscreens should be applied in generous amounts 30 minutes before sun exposure and renewed every two hours and after every swim. Remember that even highly effective sunscreen products cannot guarantee total protection against the health risks of ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
  • Be careful on and in the water as radiation can penetrate up to one metre into the water.
  • Protect children in particular, as they are very sensitive to overexposure to the sun at this time of year. Children under 3 years of age should also be protected from sun exposure. High sun protection factor creams should be used (sun protection factors over 40 are recommended).
  • If you are taking medication, make sure that it does not increase the skin's sensitivity to UV radiation.

RECOMMENDATIONS TO AVOID DROWNING, TRAUMA AND SPINAL INJURIES

  • Check the depth of the pool before swimming in order to avoid accidents.
  • Do not dive into the water headfirst or in any other way, or perform acrobatics of any kind. A bad fall, even if you fall into the water, can result in serious injury.
  • It is recommended to enter the water slowly to avoid sudden temperature changes.
  • Exercise constant supervision of children when they are near recreational water, even if the amount of water is small.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption before any activity in or near water.
  • Showering before entering the water will facilitate thermal acclimatisation of the body and prevent digestion and other complications.
  • Do not jump over other people in the water.
  • In the event of an accident, it is very important to immobilise the neck, avoid movement of the spine and call a professional to carry out the transfer. The injured person should not be transported in a utility vehicle.
