POOL RULES

Dear guest:

"In order to create and maintain a pleasant and safe environment in the pools, we ask you to read these pool rules before using the spaces and services. Also, please follow the instructions and cooperate with the lifeguards and other aquatic facility staff as they look after your well-being."

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Children’s pools are for children under 12 years old, who must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Adults and teenagers should not use children’s pools unless they are accompanying children who cannot manage by themselves.
  • Main pools may be used by children aged 4 to 12 under permanent adult supervision. For safety and hygiene reasons, children under 4 may not use them.
  • The bubble pool is exclusively for adults over 18 years old.
  • Water slides are for children over 6 years old who are taller than 110 cm and know how to swim. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult.
  • If lifeguards or staff repeatedly warn a user for violating these rules, access to the facilities may be denied.
  • The management reserves the right to use any area of the facility at any time for activities.
  • The management reserves the right to change schedules and even close the pools at any time to resolve any problems (cleaning, maintenance, repairs, etc.) for the benefit of all users.
  • The management is not responsible for any accidents caused by user negligence.

MANDATORY

  • The use of swim diapers for children who still require them. In case of a “fecal accident,” the responsible guest must pay 300€ for hyperchlorination, treatment, and cleaning of the pool.
  • Wear water shoes in showers and wet areas to reduce the risk of slipping.
  • Shower before entering the pools to remove residues such as sand, creams, oils, and similar that affect water hygiene and clarity.
  • Evacuate the pool in case of storms due to electrical risk.

PROHIBITED

  • Eating and drinking inside the pools.
  • Access by anyone affected by contagious diseases or who has been ill in the last 48 hours.
  • Throwing objects or people into the pool.
  • Diving or doing any acrobatics.
  • Access to pools while intoxicated.
  • Acts that disturb or endanger others (running, violent diving, loud devices, littering, etc.) that hinder activities, damage facilities, or affect general hygiene.
  • Bringing glass objects (glasses, jars, mirrors, bottles, etc.) into the pool area.
  • Use of inflatables (mats, boats, rings, balloons, balls, etc.) that hinder surveillance. Excluded are elements used in supervised activities. Swimming boards and noodles are allowed under adult supervision.
  • Floaties and arm bands are toys, not safety devices, and may only be used where the child can stand and under direct adult supervision.
  • Leaving objects on sunbeds to reserve them, as this prevents cleaning and maintenance work. Objects found outside pool hours will be removed without notice.
  • Bringing underwater swimming equipment such as diving masks, fins, or objects that may disturb others.
  • Wearing prescription or sunglasses in the water is not allowed; only swimming goggles are permitted.
  • Taking photos or videos of other users without their express consent (Data Protection Law).
  • Placing umbrellas, sunbeds, chairs, mats, or inflatable pools on grass areas unless expressly permitted.
  • Using the pool outside the indicated hours or when it is closed for any reason.

RECOMMENDATIONS AGAINST SOLAR RADIATION

  • Avoid sun exposure during the central hours of the day (12:00 to 17:00) as well as prolonged exposure or naps.
  • Reduce the parts of your body exposed directly to the sun. Light clothing, tightly knit shirts, and long pants will block most of the solar radiation. The most comfortable clothing in hot climates are light-colored cotton shirts. It is recommended to cover your head with hats or caps.
  • The sun can also damage the eyes, so it is advisable to use certified sunglasses that filter at least 90% of ultraviolet radiation.
  • Use high-factor sunscreen products suitable for your age, skin type, and body area. These protectors should be applied generously 30 minutes before sun exposure and renewed every two hours and after each swim. Remember that even highly effective sunscreens cannot guarantee total protection against the health risks posed by ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
  • Be careful on and in the water as radiation can penetrate up to one meter deep.
  • Especially protect children, as they are very sensitive to overexposure to the sun during this time of year. Children under 3 years old should also avoid sun exposure. High-factor sunscreens should be used (SPF greater than 40 is recommended).
  • If you take medication, check that it does not increase skin sensitivity to UV radiation.

RECOMMENDATIONS TO AVOID DROWNING, TRAUMAS, AND SPINAL INJURIES

  • Check the depth of the pool before swimming to avoid accidents.
  • Do not dive headfirst or in any other way into the water, nor perform any kind of acrobatics. A bad fall, even if into the water, can result in a serious injury.
  • It is recommended to enter the water slowly to avoid sudden temperature changes.
  • Constant supervision of children near recreational water areas is essential, even if the water is shallow.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption before any activity in or near the water.
  • Showering before entering the water helps the body acclimate thermally and prevents digestion issues and other complications.
  • Do not jump on other people in the water.
  • In case of an accident, and when it is necessary to recover and handle the victim, it is very important to immobilize the neck, avoid moving the spine, and notify a professional for transportation. The injured person should not be transported in a private vehicle.
